Certified Ophthalmic Technician/Refractive Coordinator
As an original staff member of ALVSI since the opening in 2000, Jamie works enthusiastically to counsel each patient and coordinate all surgical procedure details. She makes sure to take all the time necessary to answer any and all questions posed by our patients and goes to great lengths to ensure the entire process flows seamlessly. Even though Jamie is our resident patient advocate, she is the familiar face and the warm hand that can be found assisting Dr. Lipsky in LASIK surgery. She possesses a wealth of knowledge of refractive surgery and shares this easily with our patients. Jamie has 32 years of ophthalmology experience with over half of that time being with Dr. Lipsky.
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
When Betty isn’t fired up about helping patients get rid of glasses through refractive surgery, she is working diligently to keep Advanced Laser Vision’s laser room within Dr. Lipsky’s specifications (which is no easy feat). Betty has been involved in refractive surgery for almost 2 decades and has been at ALV for 10 years. Being a prior refractive surgery patient herself, Betty exudes an extraordinary kindness to each and every patient and can personally relate to the excitement and nervousness that patients experience when moving forward with their procedure. As lead VISX Laser operator, Betty works tirelessly to make each patient’s experience an amazing success. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy repurposing old discarded items and giving them a “second chance” at life as furniture or home décor. She is also “Mimi” to her 3 grandsons.
Registered Nurse/ Operating Room Manager
As the resident RN, Tina manages and supervises the operating room at ALVSI with unwavering standards. Her top priority is overseeing all activity in the OR as well as circulating during all surgical procedures. Tina is also responsible for upholding and enforcing policies required for maintaining AAAA certification. She loves getting to know each patient as they go through the process of admission and surgery and believes that beyond results, it’s our care for each patient that sets us apart. Tina holds teamwork and her authentic work ethics close to her heart. When she isn’t helping give the gift of sight, she can be found riding and caring for her horse. Tina claims to have been a nurse for so long that she actually trained with Florence Nightingale.
Business Development Representative
Upon entering Advanced Laser Vision, our patients are greeted with a warm smile and a welcoming “hello” from our front desk and business development representative, Lacey Galindo. Lacey is a huge believer in exceeding patients’ expectations by creating an outstanding experience for them from check-in to check-out. Lacey finds much gratification in knowing she made a difference in helping patients achieve their goal of being free of glasses and thoroughly enjoys seeing how happy our patients are after their procedure. When she isn’t busy keeping patients organized, she is spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs. They stay busy with cub scouts and spending as much time as possible with family.
