Flexible Spending Accounts
Around 90 percent of employees work for companies who offer a Flexible Spending Account (FSA, Flex Account) to help lower net healthcare costs. FSAs allow you to use pre-taxed income on medical expenses including deductibles co-payments and medical expenses not normally covered by medical insurance like eyeglasses, refractive surgery, even aspirin and bandages. Using an FSA to pay for Laser Eye Surgery could save you significantly. Check with your benefits manager at work to find out if Flexible Spending Accounts or Health Spending Accounts are offered by your company.

If you itemize your tax return, LASIK can be tax deductible. Check with your tax expert for details.
